School & Professional WorkshopsNaomi leads a variety of musical workshops across a wide range of settings, including schools, universities and professional environments. She specialises in creative composition, contemporary composition and performance.
School workshops can range from a one-off session to a 6 week programme. Naomi has experience working with students aged 5-18, from both mainstream and SEN schools. Workshops can be for between 5-30 students. Naomi will bring an additional workshop leader if there are more than 15 students. Workshops can be tailored to suit the needs of the students and school. Workshop example - Creative composition: The aim of a creative composition workshop is to allow participants to gain confidence in expressing their own thoughts & feelings through music, developing imagination, communication and listening skills. Participants will create their own piece of music, based on a given stimulus (e.g. a piece of art, poem, certain emotion etc.) using new musical techniques taught in the session (e.g. experimenting with timbre, dynamics, rhythm, melody etc.). |
